Landscape Collection

The beauty of the natural world will always stand out to me. Nature was the first artist and she continues to show us how skilled she is.

Everything in this landscape collection is inspired directly from views I’ve found travelling in Ireland and beyond, bringing a small taste of the countries land to the canvas or page. The Landscapes collection is cross-medium with pieces created using oil on canvas as well as pastel on paper.

Boats Collection

Boats have always fascinated me. The craftsmanship involved in creating a boat that is both beautiful and functional is astounding. They are a form of art that offers both protection and adventure, each one distinct in it’s form and the culture of trades around it. Each piece in the Boats Collection is meticulously captured in great detail, because after all, it is the small differences that makes each vessel and the history embedded in them unique.

Simplicity Collection

A love of detail is at the core of my artistic practice, and while detail is complex, to me it feels integral and basic to any piece. In the Simplicity Collection I looked at all the elements of a scene or study and explored different ways to remove the unnecessary elements while retaining my artistic view. This resulted in a number of pieces in focus and highly detailed with limited color and backgrounds.

Mechanics Collection

I have always viewed mechanics and craftsmanship as yet another form of art, with practitioners finding ways to combine metal and machinery to create a functional art piece. The Mechanics Collection is a study of elements in a working motorbike mechanics shop.

Commissions

A commission is the perfect way to create a unique piece of art. Commissions allow you to turn the artists eye on your chosen subject and recreate it in their unique style. Whether you’re looking for the perfect piece for your home or as a gift for a friend or loved one, commissions open up the world of art.

Linda is currently open for commissions, primarily creating these in oil and pencil.
